Across the nation, May is Older Americans Month! Every year since 1963, May has been a month to appreciate and celebrate the vitality and aspirations of older adults and their contributions to our communities. The 2014 Older Americans Month theme is “Safe Today. Endolyn Joe’s will host the annual “dine out” fundraiser in support of the Fauntleroy Fall Festival (in October). Invite friends and family to join you for a meal off the mentu and Joe’s will donate a percent of sales to the festival. In addition to great food, expect more than a bit of silliness and a raffle. [Note: This event was previously scheduled on Wednesday, May 7. May 6 is the correct date.]

Meet Us at the Beach
Lincoln Park Beach

The Seattle Aquarium’s free drop-in “Meet Us at the Beach” program kicks off in late May. A beach naturalist will be available at Lincoln Park to help kids of all ages explore nature at low tide. Look for the sign.
